![]() I've not had a chance to reach magma yet unfortunately as I've not had much time to play. This should make them drop it and choose a new item, hopefully a 'better' one. You can go to the workers inventory, select the item, and either forbid it or set the 'for melting' flag. ![]() Yes, this is how I remember magma forges, but I heard they were changed in this version too. First, material and quality of the tools doesnt have impact on the job (mining speed stays the same etc), but better tools have better stats when used as weapons. And children were dark red before, while mechanic is light red, maybe this is what caused the confusion PracticeSophrosyne 7 mo. White means masons, red means mechanics etc. If you're insisting there were no impassables previously, you're very misinformed. Pretty sure that dwarf names are color-coded in the same way as they always were - based on dwarfs highest skills. Originally posted by Erei:Might be some communication issue. The thread is about the impassable tiles: Yeah, we all know that you need magma under a magma workshop. Not sure if it's intended of a bug, but it was always true since I played.Īnd yes, snakes are vermin and will simply "spawn". Well, the crab can crawl through that one hole, straight through the forge itself. * is the hole and actual forge of the workshop (that one could be a smelter in this example, but also a kiln/glass maker, since they use the smae configuration). Wherever it is (it varies from one workshop to another). To make it work you need 1 hole underneath the "forge/kiln." part of the workshop. Say you have exactly 3*3area, with the forge. That hole is mandatory if you want the forge to actually work. ![]() To make a magma forge, you need 1 hole below the forge part of the workshop. You getting this wrong gives me very little trust in your judgement on if they were actually impassable. Only the two immediately left and right of center were impassable. Any of the non-center tiles can go over the magma hole for the forge. Always could.Įven if there are no other hole beside that one single mandatory tile, it doens't matter.
